Follow-up Comment #20, bug#64977 (group octave):

Good question.  I was only thinking that it would make sense to enable the
bytecode interpreter by default on that branch.

I could undo the change but it seems odd to me to have the bytecode
interpreter disabled by default on that branch or to have to use a different
command to test it if it is enabled by default.

Maybe for now on the bytecode interpreter branch, we should arrange to have
make check run the tests with both the parse tree and bytecode interpreters? 
If you agree that makes sense, I could take a look at doing that.
