How do I tell? On looking I suspect it's LessTif as I have a lesstif
manual page but nothing at all relating to OpenMotif.

I just tried a build with:-
./configure --with-screen=Xaw
and the result is just the same
Error: XtCreateWidget "menuEntry" requires non-NULL parent
I could try the same build on my old Slackware system (where I have
9.3 at the moment) and see if the same happens.
