Thank you.  I missed seeing anything in the documentation about those.

WinAVR was not originally built/designed for multiple installations, because of these registry keys, but obviously your free to do whatever you like if you can get it to work.

Now that I understand the problem I can fix it.  As doing
a proper Validation & Verification procedure on my code can
take days to do, switching compiler versions is not something
that I take lightly.  Hence the need for having multiple installs.

I would suggest just removing these keys altogether and see if it works for your system.

I removed them, then rebooted.  Didn't help.  It appears that
there is something hard-coded to point to C:\WinAVR .
I should be able to fix the problem in my setup batch files
by using XP's Junction feature; XP's version of symbolic links.
