Hi Teus,

Is someone updating their local Macports portfile for 4.7?  If not, they're still installing bibledit 4.6 with macports.  Port repositories don't update themselves automatically.  So maybe you're comparing bibledit 4.7 to 4.6.

I just tried to update the macports port, and there is an error having to do with DESTDIR somehow.  I can't see the problem in the makefile, but something is wrong in man1.  See below.  If that can be fixed I'll update the macports repository.  DESTDIR problems won't show up in a manual install since most people don't specify that with manual installs.  Package managers, at least some, need it.

I am glad to read that it works well on your desktop computer [?] (although
on the laptop it crashes to to the "Trace/BPT trap: 5" issue).

What leaves me wondering is this:
1. When macports compiles the application from source and installs it, then
bibledit-gtk crashes.
2. When the appllication is compiled from source by hand and installed,
then it does not crash.
What would be the difference between the two situations?
?
