Hello,

If I do, I am not aware of it ! I have a rather clean Debian testing and I don't remember installing a special font package.

Are you using gnome ? I use fvwm as a window manager, but can run any gnome application without font problem.

I got a long list of fonts. Most of them give exactly the same output as in the
file attached to my e-mail a few days ago (i.e. alpha not correctly rendered).

I finally found two fonts which could display the greek letter alpha : "fixed" and "gothic"...

I have no clue...

Have a nice day,

O.C.
