[Bug-AUCTeX] 11.85; Biblatex vs. RefTex

From: Andreas Breitbach

Remember to cover the basics, that is, what you expected to happen and
what in fact did happen.

Be sure to consult the FAQ section in the manual before submitting
a bug report. In addition check if the bug is reproducable with an
up-to-date version of AUCTeX. So please upgrade to the version
available from http://www.gnu.org/software/auctex/ if your
installation is older than the one available from the web site.

If the bug is triggered by a specific (La)TeX file, you should try
to produce a minimal sample file showing the problem and include it
in your report.

Your bug report will be posted to the AUCTeX bug reporting list.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm using Biblatex instead of Bibtex, for which AucTex/RefTex seems to
be preconfigured. The basic functions like inserting citations,
bibliographies and so on work quite well. But there's some very strange
behavior when i use the folowing lines in my .emacs
(setq reftex-cite-format "\\footcite[]{%l}")
(setq reftex-cite-prompt-optional-args t),
all i do get is "reftex-do-citation: Args out of range: 21, 37"(I think
the numbers change from time to time...). The expected behaviour would
be to insert the optional argument(which follows the citation, ie. a
page number) after the citation. It would be really nice to have the
possibility to insert the page of a certain citation directly in the
described way instead of doing M-b and insert the required characters
manually.
Is there anything else where i could look up how this behaviour is
caused, or what I could try to fix it? There don't seem to be many
problems like this one(with RefTex), according to Google.

Any help would be highly appreciated.
