Hi Tapani,

Sorry for being slow to respond, I was away from the internet for the
weekend. :)

I will have a proper look at your changes tomorrow evening. My first
thought is, are you able to send a set of patches against the version in
git? (See http://savannah.gnu.org/git/?group=enscript for details.) The
tarball will have a lot of changes to the Makefiles and so on, so it's
difficult to get a clean diff. You could even put your own git
repository online, and tell me its location.

Second, would you be willing to assign the copyright in your changes to
the FSF, so that I can commit it upstream?

I'm working on getting a maintenance release out in the next few weeks;
I hope to get the code into a decent shape so that unicode support can
be hacked into it. There are a lot of patches from various places that
need to be brought upstream; for instance, your tarball is probably
subject to three critical security flaws (as is the version in git, at
the moment), so please don't use it in public installations.

Versions of GNU Enscript shipped by the distributions will usually have
the security patches applied, of course. It is only because Enscript has
been unmaintained for so long that there is so much work to do.
