of course, the best setup is to do some automatic filtering, eg. by
SpamAssassin, as well as whitelisting.  If the sender is known and
the SpamAssassin has no suspection, the mail is passed.

All other mails are hold and checked manually.  The mails should be
sorted by the value SpamAssassin gives them, though, so that the moderator
sees first the mails which are less likely to be spam.

(Not that I know how to set up such mailman/SpamAssassin combination.)
