It’s not dead, though it is somewhat refocussed. CoreObject, for example, is
still very actively developed, though I don’t think that anyone has tested it
with GNUstep for a while. I got it building on GNUstep recently, and plan on
doing some more testing over Christmas. Being able to showcase great features
on OS X / iOS and then say ‘and, of course, you can have those on *NIX too with
GNUstep’ is a great selling point.
