... as an earlier user of EINE I am assured.  But I'm not aware of any
Elisp package currently in use providing special support for anything
but XEmacs.  The problem with Ispell, Aspell, and friends is precisely
that of finding people who write the special support for using these
programs (and their versions) from within Emacs (or XEmacs).  Currently,
Emacs supports Ispell and, to a certain extent, Aspell.  We do not (and
probably cannot) support Hunspell.  If the current trend of replacing
Aspell by Hunspell on GNU/Linux based systems (Open Office, Firefox,
Thunderbird) continues, we will be eventually left with spell-checkers
that are hardly used and hardly supported.
