Hi,

after all latest fix and patches, I tried my luck on ppc linux again

ALSA: playes noise ( we need to figure endianness I guess)
Should we add a -dataEndianness method to the Format protocol ?
I still don't know if it is file-format dependent or not, it depends how the libraries handle it

I'm also thinking about adding a configure script to handle the
dependencies. It could be used to check host endianness at build time.
Please don't... I did configure scripts and they are a pain :) Especially together with gnustep-make. The gworkspace is hardly maintainable since a certain make release,, but that's another thread.

OSS: spits out warning:
2012-05-10 00:46:13.112 Cynthiune[16272] error preparing output for 2
channels at a rate of 44100
But works
AO: plays noise
Which backend does libao use (in /etc/libao.conf) ?

address@hidden:~$ cat /etc/libao.conf
default_driver=alsa
quiet

interesting. Alsa and libao don't work :)
