Been a LONG time since I've last played, but it was a refreshing reminder after today why I love this game so much.

On my macbook pro I have windows XP going with bootstrap and decided today would be a prime time to play with some of the people that are stopping on YOG. downloaded the client, switched it to openGL, 1024x768, hopped back on and got ready. With task manager open, I've been watching maybe a 10% boost in CPU Usage on both CPUs and it's using a steady 60 megs of ram.

Now, I haven't messed with the cvs version yet, but here's things I'm still noticing from using the latest windows build:
- pressing tab doesn't switch boxes in the YOG sign-in or, well, anywhere
- starting countdown is hidden behind the AI choices, perhaps better alignment of all boxes would be helpful? top AI starts at the top of the chat box
- opengl auto detection! that would be so nice. The person I was playing with had tons of lag because of sdl, but once I told him about the opengl settings, he fixed his fedora setup and we had a blast. Lots of newbies don't know about opengl and helping them decide would be nice.

did that checkSum error get fixed in cvs? we were having that issue quite a bit, and my memory has been failing me a bit lately, I remember a conversation about it but not the outcome.

Anyway, I'm back for the week so if someone wants to test out CVS with me I'm all for that, just have to get it up and running on windows, as i want to test cross compatibility while I wait on my server.

cheers,
Kyle
