Maybe. The idea is not to impose my preference on Arch users, I just
want to still have the choice to work with a "dumb" tool in the
future. Thus, I asked that features doing smart things by providing
arbitrary default behaviors have at least to be enabled in a user
defined configuration file.
But take this as a last resort request. I will always prefer a solution like
Jan proposed, or the so famous overarch myth.
