Sure. But it seems one should be optimizing for the common case. And besides, there's no CLI available to even specify the signature copying!

Yes, optimizing for the common case would be good. That would mean to
have a default for mirror signing, that could say something like "copy",
which would mean to copy from whatever is mirrored.

There is no CLI for setting up the signing at all and should be fixed,

Alternatively, you could just have "tla make-archive --mirror" and "tla make-archive --mirror-from" check to see if you have the file ~/.arch-params/signing/$MIRROR and if not, create it and put the correct value in there.

Pretty simple to do. By checking for the file first, you prevent overwriting an already customized value.
