It wouldn't change much. The problem, resides in the capabi-
You mean by checking the registry? That's easy to do. I'm j-
ust asking myself if the Lilypond setup can use a ShellAndW-
ait type command (pause itself until the MiKTeX setup is do-
ne).
And, what's to be done if the user cancels the MiKTeX setup?

I downloaded 25 Mb of binaries and sources that are just cl-
uttering my hard-drive, wasting space?  Does this mean that
I stupedly used up half a day out of downloading...  I feel
miserable.

I'd be glad to do this. But does this mean I have to test i-
t too? Oh well... What should I be doing.  And when you say
you don't want to support such a thing, is it because you t-
hink it's un-ethical to play around with one's registry ;-)?
