It seems to me that a GNU distribution should include and give preference to 
GNU software whenever possible. That would include Evolution for example, which 
is part of GNOME, which is part of GNU and also Icecat, which is another GNU 
package. That doesn't mean non-GNU things can't be available but it seems wrong 
for the GNU Operating System to not be using its own components by default.
