You need 3.3 or later, as out build.txt file specfies.

The problem is this: in early Python 3 versions, there were a number
of non-forward-compatible changes to Python syntax.  Later, in 3.3, some
Python-2-compatible parse paths were re-introduced.

I think this oune has to do with interpretation of the 'u' syntax on
Unicode literals.
