[help-texinfo] Texinfo tag to indicate synonym or also-known-as ??

Hello,

Sorry if this is a FAQ. I have a texinfo document (the Maxima
reference manual) in which there several deffn's for arithmetic
operators such as + - * / . I wonder if there is some way to
indicate synonyms for these, e.g. plus and addition for +,
minus and subtraction for -, etc. I'm not sure if the synonyms
should appear in the text of the description for each operator --
maybe they should and maybe not -- but certainly the synonyms
should appear in the index so that someone looking up "plus"
for instance would be sent to the text for "+".

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this problem.
