This is very embarrassing, I had a 2.12.3 patch that removed
"$(foreach d, $(INFO_DIRECTORIES),$(MAKE) -C $(d) install-info && ) true" from
the "install-info-WWW:" section of the make file.
I now get identical documentation to the doc tarball. Thanks for the
links, I can get lots of usefull info from them.
