Shouldn't we rather put this up on our own example page, to complement
the set there?  I think that it would make an excellent addition.

As an _only_ example for LilyPond's capabilities, it seems a bit
outlandish.  I agree that it's disappointing after you put this amount
of work into it and that this should have been considered earlier in the
discussion.
