I think it is: it seems to me that we should aim to have all the "make" activities proceed without error. For simple make (especially on 64 bit system) that's probably ambitious. However, I think we should aim for zero errors on make check.
OK I'll go through the (less than a dozen) reg test files and let Dev know in this thread.
