I'm interested in running multiple versions under Windows and I think the easiest way would be to create virtual machines to run each version of LilyPond.  You would have to download Microsoft's Virtual PC and create virtual hard drives for each of your versions of LilyPond.  There's a Sysinternals utility HD2VHD that will allow you to convert your hard drive to a VHD for use in Virtual PC.  However, you need to have enough RAM and hard drive space on your XP host PC to create the virtual machines.  I think using 512 gig of RAM and 40 gig for a virtual disk may be enough.

If you are using an XP host, make sure you download the XP version of Virtual PC as Microsoft has a different version of it for Windows 7.

I just got a laptop with a Core i7 processor running Windows 7 with 8 gig RAM and a 500 gig hard drive so I'm going to see if I can use XP mode to bring up different versions of LilyPond as I would like to see how my 2.12.3 stuff works under 2.13 after running convert-ly.
