So far I've seen 2 issues/feature requests:

1. improve SEO

2. associate a different color scheme to each manual

Two more I noticed:

Distinguish between internal and external links?
Should be fairly easy through CSS.

Actually you're not really seeing on which page you're on because the only reference is  a very small highlighting of the active menu item.
I suggest to automatically place the @node name as a @heading on top of each website page.
