Hi Mike

I forward the mail to the ltib mailinglist for everyone to see.

I looked into the process and was able to discover this for 8.1.2 and latest:

The tar.gz file and patches are downloaded to /tmp/rpm-{username}/{tar-name}
Symlinks to these files are placed at /tmp/rpm-{username}/SOURCES/
the rpmbuild command is called, but it cannot find the tarball at
/tmp/rpm-mikegoins/{pkg-name}/{tar-name}

It seems as if I am have a problem with SOURCES vs pkg-name.

I do not see anything in the rpmbuild command that reference this path
except for topdir:
/usr/bin/rpmbuild --dbpath ///tmp/rpm-mikegoins/rpmdb --target i686
--define '_unpackaged_files_terminate_build 0' --define '_target_cpu
i686' --define '__strip strip' --define '_topdir /tmp/rpm-mikegoins'
--define '_prefix /opt/freescale/ltib/usr' --define '_tmppath
/home/mikegoins/workspace/ltib/tmp' --define '_mandir
/opt/freescale/ltib/usr/share/man' --define '_sysconfdir
/opt/freescale/ltib/etc' --define '_localstatedir /var' -bb --clean
--rmsource  /home/mikegoins/workspace/ltib/dist/lfs-5.1/rpm/rpm-fs.spec

That is why I am thinking this is something implicit in the rpm environment.

Ok! Ok! Just found it. I have a custom ~/.rpmmacros file in my
home dir from previous rpm development which is throwing off ltib.
Removed it all is fine. Something for the FAQ?

I think a check and a warning for ~/.rpmmacros in ltib is probably better. I'll add something.

Mike: did this fix your issue?
