Follow-up Comment #6, bug #45497 (project octave):

This is a duplicate of bug #44509 which asks to change repelems to match
Matlab API.

The usual Octave plan for things such as this is discussion. Usually is to
deprecate the non-compatible version to keep namespace clean. We don't need
multiple functions that do the same with slightly differences interfaces.
