Follow-up Comment #18, bug #48474 (project octave):

Yes, agree with Hartmut and Avinoam, let's stay focused here.

Dan: we've already shown what commands Octave is feeding gnuplot and that it
is correct. The problem is solely with on-screen rendering using the "windows"
terminal with gnuplot 5.0.3. Is it worth fixing or should a different terminal
be used instead?

Dmitri: yes, this this is not about how to get a working gnuplot after the
fact but about making sure the default in the official binary installer (which
includes gnuplot 5.0.3 now) is correct and useful for everyone.

Hartmut: thank you for showing the list of supported terminals.

Any mxe-octave testers paying attention, could we try adding "qt" to the list
of dependencies in the src/gnuplot.mk file and see if that's enough to get it
to build the qt terminal?
