Follow-up Comment #31, bug #53737 (project octave):

I looked at the gnuplot ChangeLog, and there does seem to be some activity in
the SVG font code last year:


        * term/svg.trm:  Normalize handling of terminal option "fontscale" to
        match other terminals. Remove obsolete keyword "fsize".


and you are using the most recent version, 5.2 patch level 2, so there could
be something going on there.

Search on "svg font" and see if anything looks pertinent.

However, unless you can reproduce the bug with a list of gnuplot commands, it
probably isn't worth creating a new bug report.
