Follow-up Comment #32, bug #53737 (project octave): Do you get a crash if you just feed the original bad line to gnuplot? E.g. this is what i got with 5.2.2 gnuplot> plot sin(x) gnuplot> set terminal svg enhanced size 576,432 dynamic fsize 8 background rgb "#ffffff" Terminal type is now 'svg' ^ unrecognized terminal option gnuplot> set out "t1.svg" gnuplot> replot gnuplot> No crash. It does not crash from octave for me either though... The fact that drawnow is different from print may be a more serious bug.
