That one should indeed have been forwarded by us (the Debian
maintainers).

Indeed this is a patch that we backported to 3.6.4, because it was
considered serious enough for us (it was a serious problem to at least
one of our users).

Actually the patch adds the category to the 3 documents (octave.info,
liboctave.info and the FAQ). We should forward it too.

Yes they are fixed on the development branch. This patch is a backport
fix for 3.6.4 (this was needed because Texinfo 5 recently hit Debian
unstable).


So indeed we forgot (or did not have the time) to forward a few patches
to the Octave developers. But in the majority of cases, we forward bug
reports and patches. The cooperation between Octave developers and
Debian maintainers is IMHO quite good, thanks in particular to the work
of Jordi who keeps a vigilant eye on Debian packaging and bug reports.
