Pan 0.11.4 uses a setting under the "General" preferences list for an 
external browser; I've got mine set to:

/usr/local/mozilla/mozilla -remote "openurl(%s)"

As I use Mozilla (obviously).  You'll want to set this to something 
similar for Galeon, I expect.
