By default, pkgconfig's {lib,include,share,etc} hierarchy is /usr.
By default, configure's {lib,include,share,etc} hierarchy is /usr/local.

The way around this is to run "./configure --prefix=/usr" when
building GNet.

A GNet RPM >= 1.1.9 would be great.  Once such an RPM is available, I'll
bump Pan's GNet requirements so that users building Pan from source
won't get bitten by gnet 1.1.8's .pc bug.

I know firsthand how hard it is make RPMs all the various platforms,
but maybe the GNet people will mirror your contributed RPMs, as I do
the contributed Pan RPMs.
