First, make sure you have defined your preferred scorefile editor,
under Edit / Preferences / Apps & Mail. You can use a different
editor than the listed defaults by substituting the text in the
entry field; I use nedit.
Then you can open the scorefile in that editor from Pan:
Tools / Edit Scorefile.
Copy the scoring rule from the previous message to the scorefile.
Save and exit from the editor. Pan should then automatically
recalculate the scores.
