That seems to fix it.  Thanks for the quick fix! (This also fixes it for
ALT-F4 exits, which is what I tend to use).  The pane sizes are now being
preserved as expected.

I remember now what the other issue I saw was - the ability to unthread
messages in the header pane.  Sometimes if I have to redownload a group, I
want to be able to sort unthreaded so I can multi-select all messages
before a certain point and mark them read.  I can't find a way to unthread
the messages in 0.97.

The other thing that seems to be missing is the ability to multi-select
groups in the groups pane.  When subscribing to a lot of groups, I like to
select them all, right-click, and say "Subscribe" rather than having to
find each group and subscribe separately.
