Thanks for the detailed answer, Duncan - some of that I found with some 
experimentation, but ultimately, yeah, it didn't work the way I'd hoped 
it would.  I might have to try using an intermediate server (something 
like the caching NNTP server that I can't remember the name of at the 
moment) where I can set up the overview to use it.

I tried with the header (in my case, X-Forwarded-For: and NNTP-Posting-
Host: are the headers I'm interested in - I'm hoping to look for users 
using multiple accounts with scoring, and some posts are fed through a 
gateway that sets the X-Forwarded-For: header)

Ah well, have to look for another way of doing it if the intermediate 
news server doesn't do it for me.
