Just the info the log catches will help. perhaps the output of 'ifconfig 
eth0' as well.

You can add anything you like to disk 2 before or during the install.
I have already added several files to the installer. /etc/hosts, 
/etc/resolv.conf, /etc/host.conf for example. Changes made to them will 
be saved, but... Only if the installer makes it through asking for disk2. 
once the real file system is mounted, most of the files on the ramdisk 
are written out. Any files on disk2 can be written back to disk, though. 
That should make it easier.

I added one. It works for me here, and appears to accept requests from 
outside networks. It may or may not work for everyone.

Yes, I'll look at the network script as well.
I have included all the modules needed for an nfs install in the ramdisk. 
The installer loads them when an nfs install is selected.
