Hi,

The following project was submitted to Savannah. It needs evaluation to
become a GNU package, can you give it a look, please ?

Submitter: <address@hidden>
Project Full Name: Speex
Project System Name: speex
License: lgpl
Approval URL: https://savannah.gnu.org/admin/groupedit.php?group_id=2410
Description: I am the maintainer and main developer of the Speex
(http://speex.sourceforge.net/) project and would like to move it on Savannah.
Speex is a free (LGPL) and patent-free voice codec. Unlike other codecs like
MP3 and Ogg Vorbis, Speex is specially designed for compressing voice at low
bit-rates for applications such as voice over IP (VoIP), Internet radio, audio
books. In some sense, it is meant to be complementary to the Ogg Vorbis codec.

It already exists and you can download the latest distribution at
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=46651
