That particular thing is ok, but it's not ok that the list is only
listed under

  http://mail.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo

and not under

  http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo

I've just committed a set of changes to the matix library.

It's the beginning of support for efficient allocation of matrices.
Matrices are cached so that they can be re-used, eliminating the need
to repeatedly call (make <matrix> ...).

Unfortunately this change exposes a bug in Goops which is fixed only
in current CVS version of Guile and in the upcoming guile-1.6.2.
