objc in configure

In my attempt to install Swarm on an SG 02 running IRIX 6.5, everything
has gone smoothly up to the last hurdle of configuring SWARM itself. I
installed gcc2.8.1 from the SG freeware site, which puts it into
/usr/freeware. Naturally the config file can't see the objective C
library. Can anyone tell me where or how I should give its real address?
