Redhat 5.2 has tcl/tk 8.0.3, which I think should be new enough?

The RPM package will enforce a requirement of tcl/tk, but I did not
specify a version. I will add a version spec in the next swarm rpm if
you tell me what is the bare minimum. We had a strange go around with
tcl/tk and swarm 1.3.1 as you recall, and after that I got skittish
about versions...

Concerning the above redhat system with upgraded glibc, here is what I
would do. Get the SRPM from my site that has the glibc2.1 patches and
rebuild to make your own rpm. That way, you are much more likely to end
up with a compatible binary. RPM is great for rebuilding. You just do
"rpm --rebuild swarm-1.4.1.src.rpm" and it should eventually pop out an
rpm for you.

I once upgraded a c library and then found the compiler had to be
redone, and swarm had to be redone after that, and so forth. After
that, I have stayed mostly with the main part of the RedHat
distribution. Your experience reminds me why, again.
