Jason Alexander <address@hidden> sent me some code for Windows that
makes movies. I had some apparent trouble with colormaps, but it's
worth a try:

One problem with this code is that it wasn't written to target GCC.
It would be cool if someone would review this archive and repackage it
to be buildable with Cygwin (even better, to work with Unix and
and X11 too).
