BTW, AFAI can see, there is no technical reason not to have
multiple grids.

The new version of aquarium fixes most bugs, and removes most artifacts,
although without them, the model behaviour over time has far less
dynamics and unpredictability :) therefore the sources of it are
still available.  Alas, the newest is at
