Apple's built-in compiler isn't exactly GCC. You could try editing
out the -O6 from the Makefile by hand. Or, since you will need a
newer GCC anyway, get that build out of the way and use it to build
the rest. Btw, I had to hack at some X11 headers in order to get Tk and
BLT to compile. I don't have the latest X11 distribution, though.
