OK done that, thanks. I get this when configuring gcc -- should I worry about 
the libffi thing?

Configuring for a sparc-sun-solaris2.8 host.
*** This configuration is not supported in the following subdirectories:
     target-libffi target-boehm-gc target-zlib target-libjava
    (Any other directories should still work fine.)
