Quincey Koziol is one of the HDF5 developers, so I suppose you got a
binary built by him. I'd suggest building HDF5 from source so that
you get all of your paths embedded in the libtool .la files.. Also,
you might as well build the latest Swarm, which is swarm-2002-04-11
from ftp://ftp.swarm.org/pub/swarm/src/testing/swarm-2002-04-11.tar.gz
