If someone wanted to pay the SDG to do a pure Java version of Swarm-like interfaces, the SDG could do that. To the extent that I would work on such a thing just because it was neat (as opposed to money), I wouldn't use Java. I'd probably code it in Mercury for clarity and because it can target .NET.

I think it would be nice to bring a browser controllable simulation engine to fruition. The COM stuff in Swarm could do that, both with Mozilla and IE6.
