That's nice. It was a stupid bug, really.
So now for your other problem.

You should be able to test the other bug by printing to a file,
so you can save a bit if paper.

Please run xlog from a terminal, so you can see the latex output.
You should see something like this:

This means I have printed 32 pages, which fits my number of QSO's:
959 QSO's, 30 per page = 32 pages.

What does your latex ouput give? Are the number of pages correct?
