[Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #43063] Suitesparse 4.3.x has changed APIs, no longer builds with Octave

Follow-up Comment #3, bug #43063 (project octave):

There are some changes made on SuiteSparse >= 4.3 that require the octave code
to be reworked. I submitted the patches at "patch #8531".

Basically, SuiteSparse now uses SuiteSparse_config variable to define the
functions that handle printing, hypotenuse, complex dividing and allocation.

As explained on the patches submit, there is still a glitch that needs to be
addressed. It seems to have its origins not in Octave or SuiteSparse but
instead in a sort of clash between gcc and libstdc++ provided math.h include
files and is triggered by mixing c++ and c code compiling. By now I am using a
kludge that allows me to finish the building process by patching
SuiteSparse_config.h file.
