Update of bug #45659 (project octave): Status: None => In Progress _______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comment #10: Thanks for starting to work on this. Do we want the build date and time to be updated every time Octave is compiled? Or do we want to just use the OCTAVE_RELEASE_DATE string that's already defined? Do we want to append the hg revision to the version string like this? Or do we only want it to be queryable with a different option? I wouldn't be surprised if some people depend on the version return value to be a single word with the dotted version string, appending the hg revision might break that expectation.
