Follow-up Comment #19, bug #45659 (project octave): With the attached patch the makefile directly inserts the hg id into the template for build-info.cc. Some tests should make sure that hg is present and that we are building from an hg repo. The hg id would be 0 otherwise. I added FFTW to the version function. Are there any alternative libraries that are supported by Octave that might have their version info available with a different call? The respective output for me is: >> version ("-fftw") ans = fftw-3.3.4-sse2-avx Regarding BLAS and LAPACK: Does the build system "know" which versions or variants it is using? If yes, can this info be stored somehow?
