Follow-up Comment #16, bug #45659 (project octave): I don't know for sure, but I think the BLAS and LAPACK versions may be the ugliest part of this. It may involve something like checking for specific functions that are only in MKL or ATLAS or OpenBLAS, and then querying each for their particular version strings. I have no idea if netlib BLAS and LAPACK provide any way to query a version.
